Nowadays it isn`t necessary to be in front of the PC to shut it down. Luckily there are utilities like Auto Close which lets you program the automatic shutdown of your PC when you want.
From Auto Close you can not only shut down at a set time, but also restart it or hibernate it. Another of its options is that you can program the shutdown/restart of the PC when a set CPU usage percentage is reached. You can also, when a set amount of time has passed, activate the screensaver.
